Reporting Pupil Absence or Time off for Medical Appointments
In order to complete our daily registration and safeguarding procedures the school needs to be promptly made aware of any pupil absences. Please report absences by email only to: absence@longden.shropshire.sch.uk and provide a daily update if your child is going to be away from school, ensuring the reason for the absence is detailed. If children are ill with D&V they should remain at home for 48 hours after the last bout of sickness or diarrhoea. In this case, a daily update is not required. Similarly, for instances of chicken pox for example, after the initial notification please provide updates every few days as relevant.
