Ash Class step out in bright sunshine
Today it was the turn of Ash Class to take their new wellies for a test drive on the North Walk. Setting off at 9.30am, they covered the six kilometres in record time, returning to school, looking as fresh as daisies, by 2.05pm. This was despite a long detour around some electric fencing through a cow pasture liberally decorated with country pancakes and two wellie disasters in the Mud Mines of Annscroft. The leaders worked tirelessly to guide their classmates through the twenty checkpoints with brilliant back-up from the checkers along the way. Lunch was enjoyed in full sunshine overlooking Great Lyth. Maize harvesting is in full swing around here but fortunately the jungle down to the Exford's Green road was still intact, much to the children's delight. Thank you to Mrs Bray and Emma for encouraging the children along and untangling a few from some interesting stile-climbing techniques. Well done, Ash!
