Chestnut Class on the North Walk
On Friday 16th October, Chestnut Class donned their new school-issue wellies and set off on the North Walk - Arscott, Annscroft, Great Lyth, Exford's Green and back to Longden. The weather was cool with the occasional glimpse of sunshine. The children took turns to lead the walk following written instructions and a photo trail. Each leading couple were shadowed by a checking couple who had the full set of photos, a map and compass. Apart from a couple of left-right confusions, the children did really well and found their way around six kilometres of beautiful rolling countryside, negotiated the mud bath by the kennels and had great fun getting lost in the maize field. Well done, everyone, and thank you to Mrs Rogers and Caroline for supervising.
